Sometimes, we think that goodness and love come in packages like these...
...and when we don't have these in our lives, we can feel cheated or ripped off by God. We think hey, what about that goodness and love, God? My finances are in the toilet and my love life stinks. Where's the goodness? Where's the love?
But we're so short-sighted and limited in our understanding of God's riches! We think so horizontally, putting God in our little box of human understanding. What does God's goodness and love really look like?
God's character is good, not evil. He loves, not hates. And He shows His goodness and love to us over and over again! But if we're looking for love in all the wrong places, we'll miss it. We'll miss Him.
May you know today how much God loves you and how He pursues you with the goodness and love that flows from His heart. May you choose to look vertically at the spiritual riches that God gives those who love and trust Him. May you open your eyes to who He really is and how He really operates. You might be surprised at what you see...
